Morgan Freeman has always been one of my favorite actors – he just seems to do such quality work and appears to be a fairly down to earth guy. I just read that was in a car accident, so I’m thinking good thoughts his direction. Of course, this just makes me think more of him since he was driving his 1997 Nissan Maxima at the time. Let’s say that again. Morgan Freeman was driving his 9 year old run of the mill car. Way to go for not being frivolous with money (at least I assume that’s what driving a 9 year old car means)!

Restless Thoughts
I’ve been feeling restless recently. I try to focus the energy so I can just get stuff done and then move on, but it’s challenging. Sometimes once I’ve completed “what I need to do” the restlessness manifests as walking, other times as cleaning or organizing.
Fortunately, we’ve been keeping pretty busy recently, with enough varied things to keep my restless-self entertained. This past weekend we went to a greener homes and gardens expo – some very cool ideas there – who knows, maybe someday we’ll build a home of our own and incorporate some of the design ideas we encountered there! I went to 2 farmer’s markets… not for too long at either one (I didn’t want a sunburn!), but long enough to check out the doggies and pick up some flowers and cookies and whatnot. And then we had a makeup mother’s day on Sunday night since Donna was sick last weekend. I also had some girly time by myself (getting a pedicure and watching 27 Dresses) while Jesse was at a seminar. Pretty good weekend if you ask me (except for the stupid hot heat on Saturday before we got our air conditioner set up).
On the list for this next weekend: coffee w/Srijia, 2 birthday parties, hopefully getting some of the house clean, maybe a bike ride if I’m lucky (?). And hopefully, soon my restlessness will be gone. If they let me start running again that should help…

Here we go…
Next week, I’ll be taking off for vacation. I’ll be spending a little over a week down in San Diego with family and friends. My fingers are crossed that this is what I need to recharge myself. Recently, I’ve felt like I’ve had no energy and it’s all I can do to get the basic things taken care of during the day. After a week of eating well and hitting the gym 4 mornings I feel about a million times better. I’m really happy to have gotten back to these things and I think that the combination of this and the vacation is going to make life much more enjoyable once I get back!
I’m currently in vacation prep mode. This weekend I’m cleaning the apartment and making sure there will be plenty of things for Jesse to eat while I’m gone. Monday through Wednesday at work will be spent getting things (especially my desk that has gotten so horribly messy!) organized. I always love having a nice fresh start when I get back from a vacation – who wants to come home to a big mess?! It’s bad enough to have to put away everything from the trip…
The only thing I can’t do this weekend that I’d really like to do is buy new shade loving plants for the back porch. After a big heatwave in the past few weeks, plus my hopes that plants that need sun might do ok on our shady deck, all the plants out there are dead. It looks horrible! I can’t wait to have it all replanted with flowers that will do well back there.

The Great Cow Shake Off
I can’t help but laugh evertime I see this commercial. I miss the happy cow commercials, so I guess this is the kind of thing that has to make me content (well that and mooing at the cows I drive past to get to the gym).

Teddybears – Cobrastyle
I found the song I had been looking for! I finally called the radio station to ask. The song is called Cobrastyle by the group Teddbears STHML… they’re a Swedish group. Here’s a link to the song in case you’re interested in hearing it.
