The End of the Week from Hell and A Fresh Start

The week from hell (last week) ended with our computer crashing several times in one evening, us figuring out it was the network card, replacing the network card only to be unable to get any signal from our wireless network, and trying to (unsucessfully) install a wireless network extender during which time the keyboard and monitor on Jesse’s parents computer stopped functioning.

Fortunately, come Sunday morning I had everything working better than before by 11 am and things have been better ever since. I’ve got lots of work to do at work, I’m sort of on top of things at home (though I still have a lot of photos to deal with from the wedding), and I’m feeling better (last week I had an infected finger, over the weekend my neck hurt and I have fluid in my ears), though I have to keep on top of my medication so that my ears don’t hurt.

May is totally going to be my month to reclaim my life and I am soooo excited. I plan on going to the zoo (we just got a membership) a few times, starting volunteering, getting the pictures from the wedding sorted and getting myself totally healed up from that stupid car accident back in February.

Getting Back to Normal

I’m working on getting things back to normal, but my brain seems to be fried. You’ll have to forgive me. I mean, the other day I forgot the pin to my atm card (I had only learned it a few weeks ago) and the atm machine ate the card. I can’t even seem to sit and write a coherent e-mail without my brain wanting me to do something else. And forget wanting to have conversations. My brain just doesn’t want to concentrate… no good when I’ve got a to-do list a mile long (that requires getting finished in order to put this whole wedding behind me).

My point? I may not post too much for a while and when I do it might not be terribly coherent… just bear with me.

Idiot

I feel like such an idiot. I got a speeding ticket on my way to work today… first one ever. Like I don’t have enough other things to be dealing with. Ugh.

Here’s the question… do I personally appear in court or send in a written statement? The people at work seem to be split between the two (go to court since it’s your first ticket vs. you can apologize better in a written statement). Thoughts?

Highlites from Victoria, B.C.

The beauty of visiting Victoria (our honeymoon destination) is that you can spend the entire time there walking around the city (and feel safe!) and seeing the beautiful parks and ocean views. Of course, there are plenty of attractions there as well.

My favorite tourist attraction of our trip was going to high tea at the Butchart Gardens, then wandering the gardens. Apparently they are beautiful all year long and the gardeners are constantly changing out the landscaping so that the flowers are always what is in season.

Jesse and I ate out every meal while we were in Victoria and we discovered a really fun irish pub on our last night there. It’s called the Irish Times Pub and it’s on the main drag (Government Street). They have live Celtic music and it was the most crowded place we found on Friday night, though we did still manage to get a table. The food was fabulous and they have tons of different beers.

Because I’m in that mood…

ESFJ – “Seller”. Most sociable of all types. Nurturer of harmony. Outstanding host or hostesses. 12.3% of total population.

Supposedly this means I:
do not like being alone, think life has purpose/meaning, organized, value organized religion, outgoing, social, do not like strange people/things – intolerant of differences, open, easy to read, dislike science fiction, value relationships and families over intellectual pursuits, group oriented, follow the rules, affectionate, planner, regular, orderly, clean, finisher, religious, consult others before acting, content, positive, love getting massages, complimentary, dutiful, loving, considerate, altruistic

With a few exceptions… it’s pretty accurate. What do you think? To take this test click here and choose either the Jung Tests I-E S-N F-T J-P short test or Jung+Enneagram test. I got the same results on both.
