I found the song I had been looking for! I finally called the radio station to ask. The song is called Cobrastyle by the group Teddbears STHML… they’re a Swedish group. Here’s a link to the song in case you’re interested in hearing it.

What’s the name of that SONG?!
Two mornings this week I heard the same song on the same radio station around the same time. I want to know the name of it (I think it’d be great for cardio), but when I look at the stations website it appears to be missing! So, I’m enlisting your help, just in case you know what it is…
The song is some kind of reggae type song (kind of like Shaggy except I can’t understand the words so I can’t even do a lyric search!), but the chorus is something like Kid Rock’s Bawitdaba (you know “ba with the ba the dang da dang diggy”). Any ideas?

Blackberry Roulade
Friday night Jesse and I went out blackberry picking in our neighborhood. We picked more than enough for the Blackberry Roulade in the Martha Stewart Baking Handbook. I put together the cake on Saturday and I have to say, it was easy (though you must have a stand mixer!) and totally delicious. I did make a mess with the powdered sugar that you spread on a towel (you then roll up the cake in the towel), but it was well worth it. I should have taken a picture. So far, everything we’ve made out of that book has been delicious. I can’t wait to try something else!

What Happened Val?!
Once upon a time many many years ago I used to love watching Val Kilmer movies. Remember this guy?

Well now he’s looking like this…

Val, why couldn’t you have aged better? You had such potential to be a hot older guy… Sad times.
Please see my new post, with other, better looking pictures of Val Kilmer. He’s still a great guy (and a nice looking one).

What I Do…
In case you don’t know, I’m a research assistant in a lab that finds ways of using technology to help older adults stay in their own homes longer. We recently got written up in The New York Times about one of the studies we completed recently. The jist of it is that we can use motion sensors to pick up movement patterns within a persons home and that people with Alzheimer’s show recognizably different patterns. Pretty cool, hmm?
