Birthday Meal

Everyone makes fun of me every year…  but I love having BLTs and brownies for my birthday. It’s better than just about anything I can get at a restaurant. I was a little worried about this when we stopped eating gluten… but thanks to Angeline’s Gluten Free Bread and Trader Joe’s gluten free brownies (or this year we’ll be having an amazing brownie-like treat from Bellingham’s Co-Op), my birthday meal isn’t threatened at all by my gluten-free lifestyle!

My husband loves me so much he’s even ok with the fact that I very well may have a BLT for breakfast, lunch and dinner today! Thank you for humoring me honey :)

Happy birthday! A BLT sounds heavenly. I’ve never seen Angelina’s — is it a West coast brand? How does it compare to TJ’s rice bread?

I haven’t tried TJs rice bread actually. I think Angeline’s must be a West Coast brand – I think it’s made in Sisters, OR. The thing I love about it is that you slice it yourself. I typically just like a thin slice to hold my sandwich together, so it lasts longer and if Jesse wants a thicker slice he can have it. Once this stuff is toasted it tastes pretty darn good and has a nice texture to it.

Maybe I’ll have to try TJs rice bread next time. What section do you find it in? The Angeline’s kind is refrigerated or frozen.
